OpenSolaris – Dead or Alive?

OpenSolaris, became one of my favorite projects last year. It seemed well maintained by both the community and Sun. Ever since Oracle bought sun and thus the project, it has come to a grinding halt. There are development updates occasionally. None of which work by the way, I’m still running the standard release from last year.
I would like Oracle to come out and say the project is dead or alive. There seems to be absolutely no word from Oracle on the project. The only thing that seems to have changed on the website is the branding since Oracle’s acquisition of Sun.
